BIOGRAPHY

Amy Hirsh Robinson, MBA, is a thought leader and strategic Human Resources consultant to CEOs, executive teams, and Boards of Directors, often serving as a “shadow executive” to reimagine the purpose and role of HR. Her work drives necessary change and growth in organizations by transforming the HR function from transactional service center to strategic business accelerator. As a trusted advisor, Amy helps CEOs find and onboard their next strategic HR leader, serves as an interim/fractional Chief People Officer, and upskills existing HR leaders and teams to create exceptional value for shareholders and workforces alike.

In addition to her 20+ years consulting, Amy served as Chief People Officer for King’s Hawaiian, an iconic brand and CPG company, for 5.5 years during one of the most disruptive times in history, balancing rapid growth with the impact of COVID19, the great resignation, civil unrest, and the onset of AI. While at King’s, she led the HR function to achieve:

  • Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces and BuiltIn’s Best Places to Work awards

  • Employee Net Promotor Score (eNPS) of 57 (average score for manufacturing is 20-30)

  • Acquisition of three brands and retention of culture as company doubled in size

  • Replacement of antiquated performance reviews with new feedback, compensation, and rewards models

  • Upskilled Talent Acquisition capabilities, eliminating need for outside recruiting agencies

  • Scalable, expedited, candidate-centric hiring practices and company-wide intern program

  • Implementation of new HCM, time & attendance, payroll, and learning management systems

A strategist, coach, and catalyst for change, Amy’s work disrupts traditional thinking and practices to enable executives and Boards to fully realize the value of their investments in people and HR and to navigate the fast-evolving landscape of technology, operating models, and work.

Amy’s clients say she is a “thought leader in her field,” “at the forefront of some of the most interesting work in workplace and demographics.” “An extraordinary communicator,” she “translates complex workplace trends into executable business solutions, winning her the trust and respect of business and HR executives alike - and providing a powerful ROI.” Amy is a “tremendous change agent for companies facing crossroads in their workforce” and is “both professional and accessible, a powerful combination.”
